CM Balochistan Warns Youth Being Pushed Toward Futile Conflict, Announces Development Initiatives

Panjgur: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti warned that young people in the province are being pushed toward a “futile and dangerous conflict,” stressing that such paths only lead to destruction.

During his one-day visit to Panjgur, the chief minister inaugurated several development projects, including the historic Shahu Qalandar mausoleum and a women’s skill development center in Khudabadan. He also announced a grant of Rs2 million for the Panjgur Press Club and the provision of two green buses and one pink bus for the city.

Addressing tribal elders, political and social figures at an FC camp, Bugti said that Baloch traditions are being distorted and obstacles are being created in the path of development at the behest of hostile elements. He urged parents to keep their children away from extremist paths, stating, “Not calling wrongdoers wrong is hypocrisy.”

The chief minister emphasized that maintaining peace in the province is a shared responsibility and highlighted that merit has been ensured in government employment, adding that jobs can no longer be bought.

He also announced Rs60 million for establishing an olive processing plant in Panjgur to boost local production and revealed plans to set up an immigration center at the Pakistan-Iran border to facilitate cross-border movement.

Bugti reiterated that the future of youth lies in quality education and proper training, assuring that the government is taking all necessary steps to provide better opportunities.
