Karachi:more than 44,000 criminal incidents have been reported in the first seven months of this year. According to the Citizen Police Liaison Committee (CPLC) report on street crimes, over 31,000 incidents involved motorcycle theft or snatching. Additionally, more than 1,000 vehicles were reported stolen or snatched. The CPLC report also highlights that over 11,000 mobile phones were stolen from citizens during this period. Furthermore, there were 12 reported cases of kidnapping for ransom and 57 incidents of extortion.
