ANF Arrests 8 Suspects in Nationwide Anti-Drug Operations

The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has arrested eight suspects during seven operations conducted across multiple cities in Pakistan as part of an ongoing crackdown on drug trafficking.
According to an ANF spokesperson, a total of 220.98 kilograms of narcotics worth over Rs 82.9 million were recovered during the operations.
In one major operation near the CPEC route in Panjgur, authorities seized 138 kilograms of ice (crystal meth), 29 kilograms of heroin, and 9 kilograms of hashish from a vehicle, leading to the arrest of a suspect.
In Islamabad, 8.4 kilograms of hashish were recovered from a vehicle near Khanna Pul, and the suspect was taken into custody on the spot.
Meanwhile, in Lahore, two suspects riding a motorcycle were arrested on Band Road with 5 kilograms of heroin. In a separate operation near Ashraf Shaheed Post, two more suspects were apprehended with 520 grams of heroin.
In Peshawar, one kilogram of hashish was recovered from a suspect near a university. In Rawalpindi, a motorcyclist was arrested near Airport Road with 50 grams of ice and 10 grams of cocaine.
Additionally, 30 kilograms of opium were recovered from bushes near Killi Rasool Bakhsh in Chagai.
Authorities confirmed that cases have been registered against the accused under the Anti-Narcotics Act 1997, and further investigations are underway.
