Alleged Embezzlement in Balochistan Irrigation Department: 5 Officers Suspended Including 3 Former XENs

Quetta: The Balochistan Irrigation Department has suspended five officers, including three former Executive Engineers (XENs), over allegations of embezzlement and serious irregularities involving funds allocated for dam projects in Loralai.

The action follows an FIR (No. 02/L/2026) registered by the Anti-Corruption Establishment, Loralai Circle, accusing the officials of fraud, record manipulation, and misuse of government resources.

According to a notification issued by the Secretary of Irrigation, the suspended officers include former XENs Jahanzaib Khan Kakr, Fazal Rehman, and Ghulam Mustafa. Alongside them, the then Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) Ahmed Shah and Junior Engineer Muhammad Azam have also been removed from their posts, with their services suspended until further notice.

The suspension order is effective immediately.
