Unrest and Accidents in Balochistan Leave 10 Dead, 25 Injured; Shopkeeper Abducted in Panjgur, Police Encounter in Quetta

**Quetta:** A series of security incidents and traffic accidents across Balochistan have left 10 people dead and 25 injured.

In Panjgur, unidentified armed men forcibly abducted a shopkeeper named Mukhtar near Washbud Customs, taking him away in an SUV. Police have registered a case and launched a search operation to recover the abductee.

Meanwhile, on the Quetta-Karachi National Highway near Nakha Kharadi in Sonmiani Winder, a collision between the Al-Nisar passenger coach and an oil tanker resulted in the death of cleaner Allahdad, a resident of Lyari, Karachi. Twelve others, including women and children, were injured and taken to a rescue center, with four critically wounded patients referred to Karachi.

In Washuk district, a collision between two Iranian oil-laden trucks at Rakhshan Badrang sparked a fire, killing five people from Noshki and Washuk due to severe burns. In Loralai’s Mikhter area, a high-speed car collided with a motorcycle, killing two brothers returning from work on the spot. Near Breeda Camp in Lasbela, a passenger coach collided with an oil tanker, killing one person and injuring over 10 others.

In Chaman, a man was electrocuted while climbing a high-tension electric pole near FC Qilla; police are investigating whether it was accidental or suicide. On the Mastung National Highway, an FC vehicle overturned, injuring Subedar Sajad and Sepoy Sarkar, who were later shifted to Quetta for medical treatment.

In Quetta’s Sonakhan area, a police encounter with armed robbers left one suspect dead while two others escaped. Head Constable Dil Murad was injured but survived due to wearing a bulletproof jacket.

Additionally, Panjgur police successfully arrested two suspects, Sanaullah and Amir Bakhsh, along with weapons, involved in an attack on a local citizen named Hassan.

These incidents highlight ongoing security and traffic safety challenges across Balochistan, prompting authorities to intensify law enforcement and public safety measures.
