UK Declares It Will Not Participate in Ground Action Against Iran

London: UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer has made it clear that British forces will not take part in any U.S.-led ground operations against Iran.
Prime Minister Starmer stated that “the Iran war is not our war” and emphasized that the UK will not become entangled in it, noting that the country’s previous actions were strictly defensive.
He added that Britain will continue defensive measures and work to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. Starmer explained that within one to two hours of hostilities starting, UK pilots were deployed in the air to protect British citizens, interests, and regional allies.
The Prime Minister affirmed that the UK will focus on safeguarding national interests, protecting people in the region, mitigating domestic impacts of conflict, and maintaining cooperation with international partners.
