PCB Imposes Rs 20 Million Fine on Naseem Shah for Calling Maryam Nawaz ‘Queen’

Lahore (Daily Qudrat News) – The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) disciplinary committee has imposed a hefty fine of Rs 20 million on national team star fast bowler Naseem Shah for violating his central contract.

According to an official PCB statement, the action was taken after Naseem Shah tweeted about Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz attending the PSL opening match and referred to her as a “queen.” The PCB had issued a show-cause notice to the bowler, who submitted his response and appeared before the disciplinary committee.

Naseem Shah claimed that his social media account had been hacked following the controversial tweet. However, the PCB disciplinary committee ruled that his actions constituted a breach of contract and finalized the fine.
