Hira Eid Festival Showcases Seerah and Cave of Hira Through Modern Technology in Makkah

Makkah: The “Hira Eid Festival” held at the Hira Cultural District has concluded successfully, attracting more than 30,000 visitors and tourists from within and outside Saudi Arabia.

According to the Saudi Press Agency, the unique cultural and historical festival reflected the growing importance and appeal of heritage sites in Makkah.

The festival featured a wide range of activities and interactive experiences, with a special focus on highlighting different aspects of the Seerah (life of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ). The historical significance of Cave of Hira and the events surrounding the first revelation were presented using advanced visual technology and engaging educational displays.

Programs included awareness workshops, visual exhibitions, and guided tours designed to educate younger generations about important religious and historical milestones. The initiative aimed to enhance visitor experience while presenting Islamic heritage in a modern and engaging way.

Visitors expressed satisfaction with the facilities, organization, and authentic information provided about Islamic history. Organizers said the event is part of broader efforts to improve quality of life and promote Makkah’s cultural and historical significance globally.

The festival also featured live shows and an “Eid Theater,” offering entertainment for families and children, combining education, culture, and recreation under one roof.
