Canada Opens Immigration Opportunities for Pakistanis, Offers Jobs with Permanent Residency

Islamabad (Qudrat Daily) – The Government of Canada has announced new opportunities for skilled professionals seeking employment and permanent residency, inviting visa applications from citizens of Pakistan and several other countries. This initiative aims to address the country’s shortage of skilled labor, with priority given to highly qualified individuals.

Applications are being accepted through Canada’s renowned Express Entry system, which selects candidates based on specific categories aligned with the nation’s economic and social needs.

According to officials, priority will be given to medical doctors, researchers, senior managers with Canadian work experience, French-speaking workers, health and social service personnel, skilled tradespeople, teachers, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) professionals, and individuals in the transport sector. Candidates with expertise in these fields have comparatively higher chances of selection.

The Express Entry rounds are designed to identify candidates with strong educational and professional backgrounds, language proficiency, and practical experience in their fields. Applicants are ranked according to these criteria, and successful candidates are invited to submit their full applications.

Canada ensures transparency and merit-based selection by announcing eligible categories in advance, allowing candidates sufficient time to prepare and submit the required documents. Applicants must meet both the general Express Entry requirements and the specific criteria for their chosen category. Once invited, candidates have 60 days to submit their complete applications, after which their cases are processed further.

The fee for permanent residency is set at CAD 575, while additional costs may vary depending on individual circumstances and documentation. Experts note that this program provides Pakistanis with a significant opportunity to secure overseas employment and permanent settlement, provided they meet the required standards and submit applications on time.
