PkMAP Vows Peaceful Struggle for Resource Rights, Welcomes New Members in Khanuzai Gathering

Khanuzai: A large political gathering organized by the Pashtunkhwa National Awami Party took place in the Karezat area of Pishin district, where party leaders reiterated their commitment to a peaceful democratic struggle for resource control and the reopening of trade routes along the Durand Line.
The event was chaired by party leader and Member of the National Assembly Khushal Khan Kakar and attended by tribal elders, youth, students, and political and social activists from various backgrounds. During the gathering, 69 political and social workers formally announced their decision to join the party, receiving a warm welcome from participants.
Addressing the event, party leaders, including central secretary Allah Noor Khan and district officials, congratulated the new members and emphasized that the party remains committed to democratic principles and the struggle for the political, economic, and national rights of the Pashtun people.
Speakers highlighted that poverty, unemployment, and underdevelopment in Pashtun regions stem from political marginalization, economic exploitation, and lack of control over local resources. They expressed concern that even in the 21st century, many areas still lack basic facilities such as education, healthcare, clean drinking water, infrastructure, and employment opportunities.
The leaders also criticized the closure of key trade routes with Afghanistan, stating that restrictions along the Durand Line have severely impacted the local economy, affecting small traders and daily wage workers while contributing to economic stagnation in border regions.
Reaffirming their stance, party leaders called for a united, organized, and peaceful democratic movement to secure rights, ensure resource ownership, and improve living conditions. They urged citizens, particularly youth, to raise their voices through political engagement and strengthen collective efforts for a more empowered and prosperous Pashtun society.
