Fawad Chaudhry Slams PTI Leadership, Calls Party ‘Irrelevant’ Under Current Control

Islamabad: Former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry has strongly criticized the current leadership of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), claiming the party is now in the hands of “incompetent individuals” and has become politically irrelevant.

In a sharply worded statement, Chaudhry alleged that PTI is being run by people who lack political vision and organizational experience, adding that “such individuals are more suited to clerical roles than politics.” He warned that failure to correct course could leave the public politically dominated by traditional parties for generations.

He further described both PTI and the Tehreek Tahaffuz Ayeen as “irrelevant” in the current political landscape, accusing the leadership of focusing only on holding minor positions rather than addressing national issues.

Referring to the imprisonment of PTI founder Imran Khan, Chaudhry claimed that more than a thousand days have passed without a clear strategy from the party leadership for his release. He termed the situation “unconstitutional and illegal” and criticized the lack of direction.

Chaudhry also expressed concern over the situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, stating that the province is facing serious political and administrative challenges.

Calling on what he described as the “real members” of PTI, he urged them to overcome disappointment and unite around a single-point agenda: securing Imran Khan’s release. He concluded by warning that assigning major responsibilities to “inexperienced individuals” has weakened the party’s overall structure and effectiveness.
