FIA Conducts Major Anti-Corruption Raids on Benazir Income Support Program Offices in Karachi

Karachi: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Anti-Corruption Circle Karachi carried out extensive search and seizure operations in connection with alleged corruption in the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP), officials confirmed.
According to an FIA spokesperson, the operation was conducted under Inquiry No. 13/2026, focusing on claims of organized misappropriation of funds meant for deserving beneficiaries of the program.
The raids targeted BISP offices in the Malir and Korangi areas of Karachi. During the operations, the FIA team recovered crucial records and evidence, including mobile phones, laptops, and other relevant documents.
Authorities have indicated that the investigation is ongoing, and further action may be taken based on the evidence collected from the offices. The FIA emphasized its commitment to ensuring accountability and preventing corruption in social welfare programs.
