University of Balochistan Senate Holds 12th Meeting to Discuss Academic and Financial Reforms

Quetta: The 12th Senate meeting of University of Balochistan was held at the Governor House under the chairmanship of Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail, Governor of Balochistan and Chancellor of the university. The meeting focused on improving academic standards, strengthening financial stability, and introducing administrative reforms.

During the session, participants reviewed the minutes of the 97th Syndicate meeting and discussed several policy matters related to the institution’s governance and development.

Among those who attended the meeting were Provincial Education Minister Raheela Hameed Durrani, Justice Iqbal Ahmed Kasi of the Balochistan High Court, Vice Chancellor Dr. Zahoor Ahmed Bazai, Secretary Colleges and Higher & Technical Education Saleh Baloch, Pro Vice Chancellor Dr. Ghulam Razaq Shahwani, Vice Chancellor of Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences Dr. Khalid Hafeez, Registrar Muhammad Tariq Jogezai, and Secretary of the Reconstruction Trust Naseem Lehri, along with other members.

On the occasion, Vice Chancellor Dr. Zahoor Ahmed Bazai briefed the Senate on the university’s overall performance, ongoing development projects, research initiatives, and international collaborations. He said that despite limited resources, the university is making continuous efforts to improve teaching and research standards.

The meeting also reviewed recommendations from the Senate’s academic committee and made several important decisions. Governor and Chancellor Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail appreciated the university administration’s performance and directed them to further strengthen the process of academic and administrative reforms.
