Maryam Nawaz Says Saraiki Ajrak Is a Symbol of Love on Saraiki Culture Day

Islamabad: Maryam Nawaz, the Chief Minister of Punjab, has extended greetings to the people on the occasion of Saraiki Ajrak Day, describing the traditional ajrak as a symbol of love and cultural identity.
In her message, she congratulated everyone celebrating the day and said that the **Saraiki ajrak is one of her favorite cultural symbols**. She added that the traditional shawl represents affection, unity, and the rich heritage of the Saraiki region.
Maryam Nawaz stated that **ajrak has been a centuries-old cultural symbol of the Saraiki belt**, reflecting the values of love, harmony, and sincerity embedded in Saraiki civilization and traditions.
She further said that the **colors of the Saraiki ajrak bring a sense of peace and comfort to the eyes**, highlighting the beauty of the region’s cultural heritage.
The Punjab chief minister also emphasized that **Punjab is a guardian of Pakistan’s diverse culture and ancient traditions**, and such cultural celebrations help promote harmony and unity among the people.
