Islamabad: Pakistani film and television actors Gohar Rasheed and Kubra Khan have opened up about how marriage has changed their lives, saying that marriage naturally brings change and that is part of its beauty.

The couple recently appeared on a television program where Gohar Rasheed revealed that Kubra Khan had initially rejected his marriage proposal. According to him, it took nearly a year of persuasion before she finally agreed to marry him. Recalling those days in a humorous tone, he said it was her kindness that she eventually accepted the proposal.

Kubra Khan admitted that the idea of marriage initially surprised her. She explained that they were best friends at first and never imagined their relationship would turn into marriage. She said that when Gohar proposed, her immediate response was, “You are my best friend.”

The actress added that when they spent some time apart due to work commitments, she realized something was missing. “There was too much silence and everything started to feel strange. That’s when I realized I had fallen in love,” she said, adding that she then decided to take the risk of marriage.

During the conversation, Gohar jokingly told Kubra that she had changed and had become a “traditional wife.” Kubra quickly responded with a smile, saying, “Yes, because I am your wife.”

Speaking about choosing Mecca for their wedding, Kubra Khan said the decision had been discussed even before they got engaged. She shared that from the beginning of their friendship she had expressed a desire to have her Nikah there, and later discovered that Gohar Rasheed had the same wish.

It is worth mentioning that Gohar Rasheed and Kubra Khan tied the knot in **February 2025** in Saudi Arabia at the holy city of Mecca.
