Green Bus Service Suspension Causes Hardship for Citizens in Quetta

Quetta:The suspension of the Green Bus Service in Quetta has significantly increased the difficulties faced by residents. The service has been halted due to recent protests organized by the Baloch Unity Committee against the arrest of participants and the filing of cases related to the sit-in in Gwadar.

The Green Bus Service, which had been a crucial and affordable mode of public transport, has been out of service for several days, leaving the bus stops deserted. This disruption has particularly affected students and daily commuters who relied on the service for travel between their homes, educational institutions, and other destinations.

Residents have expressed frustration, noting that the closure of the Green Bus Service has compounded their problems, as it was one of the few affordable and reliable transportation options available. The Transport Department of Balochistan has stated that the service was suspended due to the recent protests but assured that it would be restored soon.
