Islamabad Airport to Remain Operational Despite News of 8-Day Closure: Airport Authority Clarifies

Islamabad:The **spokesperson of the Airport Authority** has **denied reports** suggesting that **Islamabad International Airport** will remain closed for **eight days**. According to the spokesperson, such claims are **incorrect**. However, the spokesperson clarified that on specific days and times, the **arrival and departure of flights** will be temporarily suspended for **2 hours**.

The spokesperson explained that the **temporary suspension** of flights is due to the **rehearsal flights** ahead of **Independence Day celebrations**. Specifically, from **August 11 to August 14**, flights will be **suspended between 11 AM and 1 PM**, and from **August 11 to August 13**, there will be another suspension from **8 PM to 10 PM**.

In contrast to these brief interruptions, the spokesperson emphasized that **all other flight operations** will continue as usual during the rest of the hours, ensuring that the airport remains functional.
