PTI Decides to Field Hammad Azhar in NA-129 By-Election, Family Member to Contest in Case of Legal Complications

Lahore: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided to field Hammad Azhar in the upcoming by-election for Lahore’s NA-129 constituency. The seat became vacant following the demise of PTI Member of National Assembly (MNA) Mian Azhar, and the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) will announce the by-election schedule soon.
According to sources, PTI has finalized its decision to nominate Hammad Azhar for the by-election in NA-129. In case of any legal issues, a family member of Hammad Azhar will be given the ticket to contest the election.
On the other hand, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) is also considering fielding a strong candidate for the same seat. Party leaders such as Mian Noman, Rana Mashhood, and Mehr Ashtiq have already started lobbying for the nomination. PML-N is yet to make an official decision, and both parties will make their final announcements once the ECP releases the election schedule.
