NA-251: Khushal Khan Kakar’s Victory a Triumph of Justice, Says Asghar Khan Achakzai
**Quetta:** Provincial President of the Awami National Party, Asghar Khan Achakzai, has welcomed the recent verdict of the Supreme Court of Pakistan in favor of Khushal Khan Kakar from NA-251 Qilla Saifullah–Zhob–Sherani, calling it a victory for truth and justice.
In a statement, Achakzai said the court’s decision is in line with constitutional and legal requirements and reaffirms respect for the public mandate. He described Kakar’s success as a clear reflection of the people’s will, which, he claimed, had been evident from the outset.
Referring to the February 2024 general elections, he alleged that genuine representatives were kept out of parliament through the use of “Form 47,” including Khushal Khan Kakar. He maintained that the alleged distortion of public opinion and the issuance of controversial Form 47 results caused serious damage to democratic values.
Achakzai said the court’s ruling ultimately upheld truth and justice and played a key role in restoring public confidence. He congratulated the leadership and workers of the Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party on the development and expressed hope that Kakar would raise a strong voice in parliament for the restoration of genuine democracy, supremacy of the Constitution, provincial rights over resources, and the protection of fundamental human rights.
He added that sustainable political stability in the country is only possible when the public mandate is respected and the democratic process is made transparent and impartial.
