KP CM Alleges Imran Khan Shifted to Hospital Without Specialist Care

**Islamabad:** Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has expressed serious concerns over the health of former prime minister Imran Khan, alleging that the government transferred him to a hospital lacking specialist medical facilities.
Speaking to media representatives outside the Supreme Court of Pakistan, the chief minister said his party has repeatedly demanded that Imran Khan receive comprehensive treatment in the presence of his personal physicians and family members.
“It is beyond understanding why the government is not allowing him to meet his family and personal doctors,” Afridi said. He stressed that Imran Khan should be shifted to a reputable private hospital where there is complete transparency and adequate medical facilities.
Afridi claimed that the government had been secretly transferring the former premier to a major public hospital in the federal capital, where, according to him, a specialist for retinal treatment was not available. He added that the second alleged secret transfer indicates that the matter has become serious.
The KP chief minister maintained that the issue is not political but a humanitarian and legal matter. He emphasized that Imran Khan, as a former prime minister and a major political leader, deserves proper medical care, warning that any negligence regarding his health would place direct responsibility on the government.
Afridi also said there is widespread concern and anger among the public over Khan’s health and urged the authorities to act responsibly in dealing with the situation.
