Two Deadly Firing Incidents in Panjgur Leave Eight Dead, Including Women; Vehicles Set Ablaze

Quetta (Daily Qudrat) – At least eight people, including two women, were killed and three others injured in two separate firing incidents in Panjgur district of Balochistan, near the Iran border.
The first incident occurred on Monday afternoon in the border area of Cheedagi at Dastok, where unidentified armed men targeted two vehicles. According to police, more than a dozen attackers opened indiscriminate fire and also carried out rocket attacks before setting the vehicles on fire and fleeing the scene.
Those killed in the attack were identified as Haji Dad, Saleem, Haji Shah Mir, Meraj, Muhammad Hayat, and Abdul Hameed. Local sources claimed that Haji Dad was perceived to be pro-government, and suspicion has been raised about the possible involvement of a banned organization. Authorities have launched an investigation into the attack.
In a separate incident in the Prom area of Phalabad, security forces opened fire on a suspicious vehicle after it allegedly failed to stop when signaled. As a result, two Afghan women, identified as Bibi Gul and Malaika, who were reportedly attempting to cross into Iran illegally, were killed, while three others, including a woman, were injured.
Police said the Afghan nationals belonged to Herat and Helmand provinces, and several individuals have been taken into custody for further questioning. Security has been tightened in the area as investigations into both incidents continue.
