FIR Filed Against PTI Leaders, Including Lawmakers, Over Firing at Police in Islamabad

Islamabad: The Islamabad Police has registered a case against several Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) members of the National Assembly, Provincial Assembly, and other party leaders for allegedly opening fire on police personnel.
According to the FIR filed at Secretariat Police Station, the armed supporters of the lawmakers reportedly fired directly at police officers and tore their uniforms during the incident. The case includes sections under the Anti-Terrorism Act (Section 7 ATA) and multiple provisions including 506, 114, 427, 188, 186, 149, 148, 395, 353, 324, AMPLIFIER Act Sec 3/4, and PAPO Act 2024 Sec 8-7.
Around 50–55 PTI parliamentarians and leaders have been named in the case, including Iqbal Afridi, Shafqat Mian, Malik Hassan, Sarai Ahsan Raza, Muhammad Akram, Asad Zaman Cheema, and others.
The case has been registered under strict legal provisions, reflecting the gravity of the alleged attacks on law enforcement during the political confrontation in Islamabad.
