Pakistan Coast Guards Seize Drugs in Balochistan Amid Anti-Smuggling Operations

Karachi: On February 13, 2026, the Pakistan Coast Guards reported significant seizures of illegal drugs during road checkpoints and operations in various areas of Balochistan over the past month.

Authorities confiscated 43.8 kilograms of cannabis, 8 kilograms of opium, and 26 kilograms of slow rubber (processed opium). Legal proceedings have been initiated against the recovered contraband. The total estimated global market value of the seized drugs is approximately USD 33.13 million.

The Coast Guards emphasized that they remain actively engaged in preventing the smuggling of all types of drugs and illegal items, continuing their efforts to safeguard national security and contribute to stabilizing Pakistan’s economy.
