JUI Leader Noor Alam Khan Reacts Strongly to Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s Remarks on Martyrs
PESHAWAR: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) leader and Member of the National Assembly Noor Alam Khan has strongly responded to recent remarks by Maulana Fazlur Rehman, stating that the sacrifices of martyrs and their families must never be politicized.
In his statement, Noor Alam Khan said that no one sends their children to become martyrs for a salary or financial gain. He emphasized that those who sacrifice their lives in defense of the country are national heroes and deserve the utmost respect from every citizen.
He further stated that anyone criticizing the martyrs, their families, or the armed forces should first understand the realities and sacrifices made at the country’s borders before making such comments. According to him, honoring the emotions and sacrifices of the families of martyrs is the responsibility of every Pakistani.

Noor Alam Khan criticized political elements that, he said, attempt to mislead the public while seeking political support and advantages during elections and government formation processes. He stressed that using the issue of martyrs for political purposes is against the national interest.
The JUI leader urged political parties and public figures to avoid statements or actions that could weaken national institutions or undermine national unity. He reiterated that the sacrifices of Pakistan’s martyrs are a national asset and that there can be no compromise on their respect.
He concluded by calling on all political parties to demonstrate responsibility when discussing matters related to Pakistan’s security, the armed forces, and the country’s martyrs, and to refrain from rhetoric that may adversely affect national cohesion.
