Namibia Captain Gerhard Erasmus Raises Concerns Over Lack of Night Practice Ahead of India Clash

Namibia’s cricket team captain, **Gerhard Erasmus**, has expressed serious concerns about the lack of opportunity for his team to practice under lights ahead of their match against **India** in **Delhi**.
In a statement ahead of the high-profile fixture, Erasmus said that because the match is scheduled to be played at **night**, his players needed the chance to train under floodlights. However, the team has not been granted such practice sessions.
He pointed out that Namibia’s home grounds do not feature extensive floodlight infrastructure, making it unfamiliar terrain for many of his players. Apart from a few who have participated in tournaments such as the **Nepal Premier League, ILT20, and the World Cup**, most of the squad has limited experience practicing under lights.
Erasmus also noted that the Indian team has been allotted two night practice sessions, and **Canada** is scheduled to train under lights tonight, but Namibia was denied similar preparation before their India match.
Expressing his frustration, the captain said he did not understand the reason behind the decision. However, he emphasized that despite these challenges, Namibia will step onto the field **fully prepared and ready to compete fiercely**.
India and Namibia are set to face off **today at 6:30 PM in Delhi**.
