Light Rain Forecast in 19 Districts of Balochistan, Snowfall Expected in Northern Areas

QUETTA: Light rain is expected today in 19 districts of Balochistan, while light snowfall has been forecast on the mountains of Chaman, Pishin, Qila Abdullah, Qila Saifullah, and Ziarat, according to weather authorities.

The Meteorological Department has also predicted rain in most districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from today until Tuesday, with snowfall likely in mountainous regions. Due to rain and snowfall, authorities have warned of possible road closures and slippery conditions in upper areas, including Naran, Kaghan, Kalam, and Chitral.

The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has directed all district administrations and relevant departments to remain on alert and take precautionary measures in view of the expected weather conditions.

Meanwhile, under the influence of western weather systems, strong winds accompanied by light rain or drizzle are expected at isolated places along the coastal belt.

The Meteorological Department has further forecast cloudy weather in Karachi, with chances of drizzle at a few locations.
