UAE Announces Resumption of Work Visas for Pakistani Workers

**Islamabad (Qudrat Daily):** The United Arab Emirates has announced that work visas for Pakistani workers will soon be resumed, bringing positive news for thousands of job seekers in Pakistan.

The announcement was made by UAE Ambassador to Pakistan, Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Al Zaabi, during a meeting at the UAE Embassy with a delegation of the Pakistan Overseas Employment Promoters Association (POEPA), led by its Chairman Syed Rehmat Ali Shah. The delegation also included POEPA Secretary General Mumtaz Siddiq, former chairman Syed Habib Ali Shah, Special Assistant to the Chairman Shakeel Abbasi, and Executive Member Tariq Javed.

Welcoming the delegation, Ambassador Al Zaabi said that Pakistan and the UAE share historic and brotherly relations that continue to grow stronger with time. He noted that cooperation between the two countries spans multiple sectors, with manpower being a key pillar of bilateral ties.

The ambassador praised the skills and professionalism of Pakistani workers, stating that they have played a significant and commendable role in the development and progress of the UAE. He added that Pakistani manpower has consistently contributed positively to the UAE’s economy.

Confirming the development, Ambassador Al Zaabi said that preparations are underway to restart the issuance of UAE work visas for Pakistani citizens and that progress in this regard is expected soon. He expressed optimism that the move would open new employment opportunities for a large number of Pakistanis.

Speaking on the occasion, POEPA Chairman Syed Rehmat Ali Shah appreciated the efforts of the UAE ambassador and reaffirmed that relations between Pakistan and the UAE are strong and longstanding. He said that Pakistani skilled manpower will continue to support the UAE’s development in the future.

He further expressed hope that the resumption of work visas would enhance economic cooperation between the two countries and create fresh overseas employment opportunities for Pakistani youth.
