Grace Period Announced for Extension of Expired Visit Visas in Saudi Arabia
Riyadh: The Saudi General Directorate of Passports has announced the commencement of visit visa extensions for individuals holding expired visas.
According to the Saudi news portal Sabq, the Passports Department has instructed all foreign nationals currently residing in the Kingdom on expired visit visas to apply for extensions within the designated time frame to facilitate their final departure.
The department clarified that this move aims to ensure a smooth and legal exit process for visitors, helping them avoid potential legal violations or fines for overstaying an expired visa.
Authorities have urged visit visa holders to monitor their legal status through the Absher platform or other official channels and to extend their visas before expiry. This proactive approach is intended to protect visitors from any legal or financial consequences related to visa violations.
