5-Year-Old Injured by Kite String in Rawalpindi; Mother and Brother Also Hurt

A **five-year-old boy** was injured in **Chaklala, Rawalpindi** when a kite string (dor) got entangled around his neck.

According to private TV reports, the boy’s mother also got her **finger cut** while trying to save him, and his brother’s hand was injured in the incident. The child, identified as **Abubakar**, was shifted to the hospital in critical condition.

**Punjab Chief Minister** has taken notice of the incident and requested a report from the **Rawalpindi Commissioner**.

Meanwhile, **Maryam Nawaz** stated that the **Basant festival will only be celebrated in Lahore**, with restrictions remaining in other districts. She urged the public **not to turn a festival of joy into a tragedy** by using banned kite strings.
