Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Accuses Forces of Targeting Sindh’s Resources, Defends PPP’s Development Work

**Islamabad (Qudrat Daily):**
**PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari** has accused certain forces of trying to seize Sindh’s resources under the pretext that the provincial government has done nothing. Speaking at an event in **Tharparkar**, he said a false narrative of inaction is being propagated to **revoke powers granted to provinces under the 18th Amendment**.

Bilawal stated that those who believe Sindh’s development can only come from Islamabad have been proven wrong by the people of Thar. He highlighted the **people-oriented work carried out by the PPP in Thar** as evidence of the party’s commitment to the region, saying it reflects the PPP’s **love for the local population**.

He emphasized that contrary to claims that the PPP has done nothing and powers should be centralized in Islamabad, Thar itself stands as a testament to their achievements. “The **coal resources in Thar** are as significant as Saudi Arabia’s oil reserves. When **Benazir Bhutto** initiated development projects here, conspiracies tried to halt them. Yet, this single project not only brought an economic revolution to Thar but also provided electricity to Islamabad,” he added.

Bilawal further highlighted the provincial government’s investments, noting the establishment of a **comprehensive healthcare network across Thar** and allocation of a portion of coal profits to the **Thar Foundation**. He also pointed out that since 2008, the **number of universities in Sindh has doubled**, asserting that no other province can match Sindh’s educational progress.

The PPP chairman’s remarks underscore the party’s stance against **centralization of resources** and its ongoing commitment to **provincial development and empowerment**.
