Balochistan Receives Nearly Rs4 Trillion Under NFC Award, Development and Financial Autonomy a Federal Priority: Finance Minister

**Islamabad/Quetta:** Federal Minister for Finance Muhammad Aurangzeb has said that Balochistan received **Rs3,949.16 billion** under the National Finance Commission (NFC) Award over the past five years, reaffirming that the province’s development and financial autonomy remain a top priority for the federal government.

Speaking to a private television channel, the finance minister stated that the total size of Balochistan’s share from the divisible pool under the NFC Award during the last five years stood at **Rs3,949.16 billion**. He added that, in addition to this, the province was provided **Rs252.78 billion** under the head of direct financial transfers (straight transfers).

Muhammad Aurangzeb said the federal government firmly believes in the fair distribution of financial resources among provinces in line with their constitutional rights. He emphasized that timely provision of funds under the NFC Award is being ensured to promote Balochistan’s development, strengthen its financial autonomy, and improve public welfare.

The finance minister further noted that continuous efforts are underway to enhance financial cooperation between the federation and the provinces, aimed at supporting sustainable development and addressing regional disparities.
