Trump Warns Cuba to Strike a Deal, Cuban President Responds Strongly

US President **Donald Trump** has issued a warning to Cuba, urging it to enter into an agreement, a statement that has drawn a strong reaction from Cuban President **Miguel Díaz-Canel**.

President Trump said that for many years Cuba survived on large amounts of oil and financial support from Venezuela, and in return provided security services to what he described as “two Venezuelan dictators.” He added that Venezuela is now under the protection of what he called the world’s most powerful military, the United States armed forces.

Issuing a stern warning, Trump said that no more money or oil would be sent to Cuba and urged the country to make a deal immediately “before it is too late.”

Responding to Trump’s remarks, Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel said that Cuba is a free and sovereign nation and that no one has the right to dictate its actions. He described the United States’ attitude as criminal and a threat to global peace.

Díaz-Canel stated that Cuba has been facing US aggression for the past 66 years, adding that while Cuba does not issue threats, it remains fully prepared to defend its homeland. He further said that those who view human lives purely through a business lens have no moral authority to point fingers at Cuba.

He also criticized those who blame the Cuban Revolution for the country’s economic difficulties, saying they should feel ashamed.
