38th Death Anniversary of Pashtun National Leader Abdul Razzaq Khan Dautani to Be Observed on January 9

**Quetta:** The Pakhtunkhwa National Awami Party (PkNAP) has announced that the **38th death anniversary of renowned Pashtun national movement leader Abdul Razzaq Khan Dautani** will be observed with reverence and respect across Pakhtunkhwa on **Friday, January 9, 2026**.

According to a press release issued by the party’s central secretariat, a **central condolence public gathering** will be organized under the auspices of PkNAP in **Loralai**. Senior central and provincial leaders of the party will address the gathering, highlighting the late leader’s **national struggle, ideological contributions, and historic sacrifices**.

The statement said that the late Abdul Razzaq Khan Dautani—former central general secretary of Pakhtunkhwa NAP and founder of the **Pakhtunkhwa Students Organization**—was among the visionary leaders who played a historic role in uniting, organizing, and strengthening the Pashtun national movement during the **1970s and 1980s**.

It added that he was a staunch advocate of **Pashtun national unity, national self-determination, and the establishment of a united Pashtunkhwa province**, and firmly believed that a **free, sovereign, and stable Afghanistan** was essential for regional peace and the survival of nations.

The press release further stated that the late leader’s **intellectual and political legacy continues to serve as a guiding light** for Pashtun national politics today. Reaffirming its commitment, the Pakhtunkhwa National Awami Party pledged to continue the struggle for the realization of the national goals set by Abdul Razzaq Khan Dautani and other great leaders, vowing not to shy away from any sacrifice in the pursuit of **national freedom, autonomy, and democratic rights**.
