Chaman: UN Delivers 11 More Aid Containers to Border Awaiting Dispatch to Afghanistan

**Chaman (Daily Qudrat):** Amid severe food and medicine shortages in Afghanistan, the United Nations has delivered 11 additional aid containers to the Chaman border today, bringing the total number to 25. The containers are filled with biscuits and other essential food items and will be dispatched to Afghanistan as soon as Afghan authorities grant permission.
Sources said the Pak-Afghan border at Chaman had been closed for the past three months, causing acute shortages of food and medicine in Afghanistan. At the UN’s request, Pakistan allowed the entry of aid containers through the Chaman and Torkham borders on humanitarian grounds.
UN officials are in continuous contact with Afghan authorities, and it is expected that all containers will be allowed into Afghanistan within the next two days. The international organization has praised this initiative as a critical effort to prevent famine among the Afghan population and as a practical demonstration of Pakistan’s humanitarian support.
