Heavy Rains and Cold Wave Grip Northern UAE, Work-From-Home Policy Implemented

DUBAI:Heavy rainfall across the northern emirates of the United Arab Emirates, including Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah and Umm Al Quwain, has intensified the cold weather in the region. The temperature on Jebel Jais, the highest mountain in Ras Al Khaimah, dropped to 6 degrees Celsius.

Earlier this month, Dubai also witnessed heavy rain accompanied by thunder and lightning, which severely disrupted daily life and traffic movement.

In view of the adverse weather conditions, the UAE government implemented a work-from-home policy for all government offices, while the private sector was also advised to adopt remote working arrangements. According to official sources, only essential staff were allowed to report to offices during this period.
