Major Progress in NCCI-A Corruption Scandal: Four Officers Resign

**Islamabad:** Significant developments have emerged in the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCI-A) corruption scandal involving a social media influencer, with the resignations of four officers formally accepted.
The resignations, approved by the Federal Secretary of Interior, include Deputy Director Sarfaraz Chaudhry, Assistant Directors Muhammad Usman, Shoaib Riaz, and Asma Majeed. These resignations have been effective since November 20.
The scandal first came to light last month when multiple NCCI-A officers were arrested for allegedly accepting bribes from social media influencers, including a figure known as “Ducky Bhai.” Several of the arrested officers subsequently submitted their resignations.
Previously, the Anti-Corruption Circle in Lahore had registered corruption cases against eight NCCI-A officers. Among the eight, seven officers—comprising an Additional Director, Deputy Director, Assistant Directors, and Sub-Inspectors—faced formal charges.
This development marks a key step in addressing the ongoing corruption within the agency and restoring public confidence in cybercrime investigations.
