Nawabzada Jameel Akbar Bugti Condemns State Terrorism Against Peaceful Protests

Quetta:Nawabzada Jameel Akbar Bugti, the scion of Shaheed Nawab Akbar Bugti, strongly criticized the provincial authorities for resorting to state terrorism against peaceful women and children protesters. He declared that the disenfranchised rulers have no goodwill towards the Baloch people, knowing only how to exploit Balochistan’s resources while ignoring their welfare and rights. He emphasized that such rulers will never undertake any positive steps for the benefit of the Baloch people because their sole interest lies in personal gain, and they will not hesitate to use force against those who demand their rights.

During his statement issued recently, Nawabzada Jameel Akbar Bugti highlighted that instead of respecting the sanctity of Muharram in the province, the authoritarian rulers showed fear and hostility towards peaceful protests of Baloch women, children, and elders. He alleged that these rulers sabotaged their peaceful protests, including efforts to recover missing persons and address other issues without resorting to violence. The recent actions of Yazidi forces in Mastung, firing upon protesters and causing injuries, have exposed their true intentions and desires. History bears witness that the government has consistently viewed Baloch people as enemies, evident from their response to protests and sit-ins in Punjab and other regions.

In response to questions, Nawabzada Jameel Akbar Bugti criticized Jamaat-e-Islami for its historic alignment with Bangladesh and its current role in opposing their cause. He highlighted that while Jamaat-e-Islami has been viewed as an ally of the government, it has now abandoned the Baloch people’s interests, aligning itself with Bangladesh’s movements and revealing its intentions and actions.
