Five Independent Senators from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Join PTI

Peshawar: Five independent Senators elected from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have officially joined the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party.
Mirza Afridi, Azam Swati, Faisal Javed, Noor-ul-Haq Qadri, and Rubina Naz submitted their declaration of joining PTI to the party chairman. PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali will submit the declaration to the Election Commission.
It is noteworthy that in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Senate elections, the alliance of the government and opposition won all the seats, with six seats allocated to the government and five seats to the opposition. Of the seven general seats, PTI secured four, while the opposition won three.
In the two reserved seats for women, PTI secured one and the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) won the other. For the technocrat seats, one was won by PTI and the other by Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI).
