Powerful Elites Responsible for Issues; People Must Be Freed from Extortion and Humiliation: Maulana Hidayat ur Rehman

*Gwadar (Daily Qudrat)* Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan and Member of the Provincial Assembly, Maulana Hidayat ur Rehman Baloch, has said that the ruling authorities must urgently address critical issues including border closures, the trawler mafia operating in coastal areas, recovery of missing persons, public humiliation at checkpoints and extortion.

Addressing various gatherings in Gwadar, he stated that powerful circles in Islamabad were responsible for the hardships faced by the people of Balochistan, adding that the local population was being deprived of basic rights, employment, trade and legitimate business opportunities.

Maulana Hidayat ur Rehman said corruption, commissions and incompetent governance were among the major challenges confronting Balochistan. However, he added that Jamaat-e-Islami’s “Haq Do Balochistan” movement continued its struggle for the restoration of public rights.

He said that in collaboration with Chairman Municipal Committee Gwadar, Majid Johar, efforts were underway to resolve public issues and promote overall development and welfare through consultation with voters. He added that due to continuous engagement and sincere efforts, development work in Gwadar had become visibly evident.

According to him, projects that had remained stalled for years were now being completed at a fast pace while maintaining quality standards, resulting in direct benefits for the public. Maulana Hidayat ur Rehman emphasized that under the leadership of the Gwadar MPA, chairman municipal committee and councilors, the struggle for Gwadar’s development and resolution of public issues would continue with full vigor in the future.
