Pakistan Army Fully Prepared to Counter Extremism and Divisive Forces: Field Marshal Asim Munir

Gujranwala: Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, has stated that the Pakistan Army is fully prepared and resolute in confronting internal and external challenges, extremist ideologies, and divisive forces that threaten national stability.

According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Field Marshal Asim Munir visited the Gujranwala and Sialkot garrisons, where he was briefed on the formations’ operational preparedness and key initiatives undertaken to enhance combat capabilities.

During the visit, the Field Marshal observed field training exercises and modern simulator-based training facilities. He appreciated the formation’s high professional standards and overall state of readiness.

Emphasizing the importance of technological integration, the Army Chief highlighted that situational awareness and timely decision-making are critical in the modern battlefield environment.

Field Marshal Asim Munir also interacted with officers and troops, lauding their high morale and unwavering commitment to national security. He stressed the significance of rigorous, purpose-driven training to meet evolving security challenges.

Reiterating the Pakistan Army’s resolve, he said the armed forces remain fully prepared to counter internal and external threats, extremist mindsets, and divisive elements seeking to undermine national cohesion.

Upon his arrival in Gujranwala, the Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces was received by the Corps Commander Gujranwala.
