Rawalpindi Traffic Police Deploy Drones to Enforce Traffic Laws

Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Traffic Police have started using drone cameras to enforce traffic regulations in the city, especially in congested and high-traffic areas.
Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Farhan Aslam stated that the modern technology is being employed to take strict action against traffic violators. Drones will help identify offenses such as underage driving, riding without helmets, and one-way violations, and traffic wardens will act immediately upon detection.
CTO Aslam emphasized that a strict and impartial crackdown is ongoing against lawbreakers, and zero-tolerance measures have already led to a noticeable reduction in traffic violations.
He added that amendments to traffic laws aim to protect citizens, and law-abiding residents need not worry about fines. The focus of the traffic police is not just issuing challans but ensuring safety, preventing accidents, and promoting secure travel through practical measures.
