Shagufta Ejaz Breaks Silence on Weight-Loss Rumors

Denies Using Ozempic, Announces Legal Action Against False Claims

Karachi: Renowned Pakistani actress Shagufta Ejaz has strongly denied allegations that she used the Type-2 diabetes drug Ozempic to lose weight, declaring that those spreading such claims will face legal action.

During a private TV show, the host once again questioned the actress about her weight loss. Responding firmly, Shagufta Ejaz said she was shocked at “how free people are to believe in baseless rumors.”

“I have never used Ozempic,” she clarified. “Those who are claiming that I took medication to lose weight—I will be taking legal action against them soon.”

She added that Islam forbids believing or spreading unverified assumptions, yet people created their own narratives about her weight loss journey and convinced themselves it was true.

Speaking about the culture of intrusion, she said, “I don’t have enough time to point fingers at other people’s lives. Unfortunately, it has become a trend to interfere in others’ personal matters and question them—something that our religion clearly does not allow.”

Shagufta Ejaz expressed anger and disappointment that her pictures were being circulated with false claims. She emphasized that her transformation was the result of long, difficult effort, not shortcuts.

“It was not easy at all. Not just me—my younger daughters also went through a tough time during this journey,” she revealed.
