Nimra Shahid Shares What Attracts Women to Men, Praises Bilal Abbas and Danish Taimoor

Lahore: Pakistani actress Nimra Shahid has shared her views on what makes male characters appealing to women, saying that charm and presentation play a much bigger role than aggression.

Speaking as a guest on a fashion magazine’s YouTube show, Nimra Shahid discussed her favorite actors and expressed her opinions on popular male characters in Pakistani dramas.

During the interview, the host asked why aggressive male characters often seem attractive to women. Responding to the question, Nimra said that women are not necessarily drawn to aggressive men, but rather to charismatic actors such as Bilal Abbas Khan. She added that talented and attractive actors can bring appeal to almost any role, citing Danish Taimoor as another example of an actor who looks convincing in a wide range of characters.

According to the actress, emotional and intense characters often leave a strong impression on female audiences because male roles in Pakistan are frequently glamorized. She explained that when a handsome actor is portrayed in an emotional or dominant role, supported by strong promotion, appealing cinematography, and romantic background music, viewers are more likely to be captivated by the character.

Nimra Shahid noted that everyone has different preferences, but television dramas often present male characters in a highly romanticized manner. She said that camera work, lighting, styling, and storytelling all contribute to creating an “ideal man” image that resonates with audiences.

The actress further remarked that both Danish Taimoor and Bilal Abbas enjoy immense popularity among viewers. She added that Pakistani audiences are currently more comfortable with traditional drama content and may not yet be fully ready for content produced in the style of platforms such as Netflix.

Speaking about her desire to work with Danish Taimoor, Nimra Shahid said she has expressed this wish on several occasions because she admires him as an actor. She described him as a talented performer with a large fan following and added that both Danish Taimoor and Bilal Abbas are among her favorite actors in the industry.
