Pakistan Develops Secure, Hack‑Proof Mobile Phone for Government Use

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has successfully developed its own highly secure mobile phone designed to protect government communications from data theft and hacking.
The device has been created under a pilot project of the National Telecommunication Corporation (NTC) and is specifically tailored for government officials. Both the hardware and software of the handset have been developed entirely within Pakistan.
According to officials, the phone does not connect to the internet and operates on a custom‑built operating system, significantly reducing the risk of cyberattacks. All applications installed on the device are locally developed, and the handset supports SIM cards from any Pakistani telecom operator.
NTC officials revealed that the device does not include any backup feature, ensuring that no data can be extracted in case the phone is lost, stolen, or compromised.
They added that communication through this device cannot be monitored or intercepted, providing complete protection for sensitive government communications.
