‘Mera Dil Ye Pukare’ Viral Girl Reveals Shocking Story: Failed Matric Exams Three Times, Went Viral at Age 14

LAHORE: Ayesha Azhar, the young girl who shot to overnight fame after dancing to the song *“Mera Dil Ye Pukare Aaja”*, has revealed surprising details about her education—saying she failed her matriculation exams three times before finally passing on her fourth attempt.
Ayesha, who became an internet sensation in November 2022 after her dance video from a wedding went viral, has since established herself as a recognizable face on TikTok and Instagram. Her performance not only made her a social media star but also opened doors to modeling opportunities.
Speaking on a private TV show recently, Ayesha recalled her school days, admitting that academics were always a struggle for her. She shared that she had “very little aptitude for studies,” which led to repeated failures in her matric exams. However, due to her friends’ insistence, she continued attempting the exams and ultimately managed to pass.
Ayesha further revealed that she has no plans to continue her studies, saying that modeling is her true passion. She explained that she has already taken a break from education and intends to devote her full time and energy to her modeling career.
In a surprising disclosure, she added that she was just 14 years old when her viral video first broke the internet, and she is now 18.
