PTI Secretary General Salman Akram Raja Files Supreme Court Petition Over Restrictions on Imran Khan’s Meetings

Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Secretary General Salman Akram Raja has filed a constitutional petition in the Supreme Court against the unlawful restrictions on former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s meetings and his solitary confinement.

The petition highlights that despite multiple pending contempt of court applications, the Islamabad High Court has failed to implement its own orders over the past eight months. This legal inaction, according to the petition, not only undermines fundamental principles of justice but also violates constitutional rights and judicial authority.

PTI has strongly condemned the unconstitutional actions, emphasizing that any violation of Imran Khan’s personal freedom, right to meet visitors, and other basic human rights is unacceptable. The party has urged the higher judiciary to take immediate and effective action and reiterated its demand for the prompt and unconditional release of Imran Khan and all other political detainees.
