Balochistan High Court Refers 2025-30 Bar Council Election Petitions to Advocate General

QUETTA:A **division bench** of the Balochistan High Court, comprising **Justice Muhammad Kamran Khan Malakhel** and **Justice Gul Hassan Tarin**, has referred two constitutional petitions — **CP No. 1724/2025** and **CP No. 1632/2025** — concerning the **Balochistan Bar Council elections 2025-30** to the **Advocate General Balochistan**, who also serves as the council’s chairman.
The petitioners, including **Manzoor Ahmed Shah Advocate, Alamgir Khan Advocate, Nawab Saleem Advocate, and Malik Samandar Khan Kakr Advocate**, had raised objections regarding **election transparency, candidates’ fees, use of funds, and certain legal amendments**.
The court noted that **issuing any judicial order at this stage could affect the electoral process**. Therefore, it deemed it appropriate to send the petitions to the **Returning Officer and the Advocate General**, instructing them to **hear all parties and make decisions in accordance with the law** to ensure **free and fair elections**.
