Gas Prices Likely to Rise for Consumers — SSGC Submits Request to OGRA for Tariff Hike

*Quetta (Qudrat Daily)* — With the onset of winter approaching, gas consumers in Balochistan may face higher bills as the **Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC)** has formally submitted a request to the **Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA)** seeking an increase in gas prices.
According to the company’s petition, SSGC has proposed a **price hike of Rs. 125.41 per MMBTU** for consumers in **Sindh and Balochistan**. For the current fiscal year, the company has recommended setting the **average gas price at Rs. 1,783.96 per MMBTU**.
OGRA has scheduled a **public hearing in Karachi on November 11** to review the request. A final decision regarding the new gas tariffs is expected following the hearing.
