Khawaja Asif Says Some Misguided Individuals in AJK Are Following a Particular Agenda
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Defence Minister, Khawaja Muhammad Asif, has said that some individuals in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) appear to be pursuing a specific agenda and urged citizens to remain committed to the state and the Constitution.
In a statement, the defence minister said that certain “misguided brothers” in AJK should carefully read the Constitution. He emphasized that Article 5 of Pakistan’s Constitution requires every citizen to maintain unwavering loyalty to the state.
Khawaja Asif further stated that any dialogue or discussion must begin with loyalty and complete obedience to the state.
The minister’s remarks come amid ongoing discussions regarding political and administrative matters in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, where various groups have been raising concerns on different issues.
