Family Demands Justice After Man Killed in Khuzdar; Sister Denies Militant Allegations

Quetta:Iqra Lashari, a resident of Zahri, has urged authorities to deliver justice after her brother, **Khalid Lashari**, was brutally killed in Zahri tehsil of **Khuzdar** district, saying allegations against him were baseless.

Speaking at a press conference at the **Quetta Press Club** on Saturday, Iqra Lashari said the killers — reportedly from a proscribed organisation — accused Khalid of serious wrongdoing and then murdered him, a claim she firmly rejected. “My brother was a decent, harmless man; we had no enmity with anyone,” she said. “He was the sole breadwinner of the family and his death has left us devastated.”

Iqra said Khalid had been summoned and then slain in a ruthless attack. She described the accusations as “false” and as adding salt to the family’s wounds. The family tried to approach those responsible to learn the truth, she added, but no evidence was presented to substantiate the charges.

She called on authorities to investigate the killing thoroughly and hold the perpetrators accountable. “Labeling and killing someone as a traitor is a stain on our family,” she said, demanding that the state ensure justice for her brother.
